Iarsmaí / Vestiges (2026-ongoing)

Flax monotypes on Stonehenge paper

Iarsmaí / Vestiges is an ongoing series of original works on paper exploring memory, absence and the traces held within the body and landscape. Organic, hair-like forms emerge through layered printmaking processes, hovering between root, remnant, bodily fragment and apparition.

The Irish word iarsmaí can refer to remains, remnants, relics or traces—something left behind after the original presence has disappeared. Each individually created work holds a different configuration of these marks, forming part of a wider meditation on what survives, what changes and what continues to haunt the present.

Created by inking and layering dyed flax before passing it through a printing press, each image is a unique monotype. A number are available to purchase. View Available Work.
